Visiting the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association Hanger
Today, FJB had the pleasure of visiting the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association Hanger. Students were able to learn more about the role Canada and Canadians have played in conflicts around the world.
Retired members of the military shared their experiences and their knowledge with us.
We learned more about the importance of "In Flanders Fields". Canada's role in World War II was stressed. The role of the Salvation Army was shared, and best of all, the planes.
Student Vote
The students of Brennan participated in "Student Vote Canada" this week. This is a government initiative that gives students a chance to understand what it means to have a voice in a federal election. Over 800,000 high school students across canada were able to do a mock election. These results were sent in and nation wide totals were calculated. Brennan had 150 students who chose to participate. We also had a Liberal victory.

Forum for Young Canadians
Forum for Young Canadians
Forum is about one week that may very well change the rest of your life.
It's about giving smart, engaged and opinionated 15 – 19 year olds a chance to recreate parliament for a week. In Ottawa. On the Hill. With other equally ambitious youth.
It's about getting inside—deep inside—Canadian politics and public affairs and seeing what running the country looks like up close. It's about learning how to collaborate and share ideas, then turn them into real community action. Visit www.forum.ca to learn all about it and apply for next year!
